2018 Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay


Fruit is sourced from a single site in Tuerong.

This Chardonnay is made from the 95 Clone.

Fruit is crushed into the press, after pressing it is settled overnight and then racked to barrel taking solids. A Combination of yeasts were used to help build some complexity.  No MLF. 20% new French Oak. 10 months in the barrel.

Spiced oatmeal, struck match, dusty, white nectarine and grapefruit. Cool, well drawn lines, savoury without being over-worked, tang and lime, grapefruit segments and grip on the long finish. Stylish. 94. Garry Walsh. Winefront.
